It is usual for us to go to her hometown every year during her birthday. But this year it was different, we decided to go to Baguio with our little knowledge of the place and a camera. We rode Dagupan Bus a little while after my office work. For about 3 hours we traveled the long road to Baguio, both of us were excited. I’ve been to Baguio just once during my childhood, it was a new adventure for us.
Arrived at the place around 3am, walked a little bit and it was really cold, literally shivering so we waited a bit in some fast food chain.
Hailed a taxi for Mines View Park around 5:30am. No solid plan for the day I just want her to be happy early in the morning, Googled a bit and saw this place, when we arrived here there were a lot of people waiting for sunrise, we managed to get to the front row though. It was a waiting game, everybody was literally chilling. The cold was replaced by excitement as soon as we saw that golden-ish lining in the sky and that excitement turned into smiles including hers as the sun goes up – glowing over the fog.
After Mines View we headed to the The Mansion.
Took a couple of pictures then we headed to Wright Park. Bought some souvenirs, wallet and enjoyed watching some people doing their zumba thing. 😀
We also went down to watch some people riding horses, gladly we were from the top so the stair walk was easy. Imagine hiking those steps up.
After buying some pasalubong, we ate at Good Taste. The queue was long but it was worth it. Lots of selection and food taste good also and the serving was generous too!
Valley of Colors was the next place we went to – a wide lens would be nice if you have it or go to the houses in front to get some good looking panoramas of the area.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city there’s a place called Bell church. A serene place where you can reflect or just sit quietly.
We headed next to Burnham Park this was also our last stop before heading home. Watched some people in their bicycle and enjoyed our day in the city of Baguio.
